Savannah Scribble Drawings

Students discovered a new art technique by scribble drawing instead of traditional coloring. Students also learned about the environment of the Savannah and the animals that live there.

Simple Snow Men

Kindergarten were introduced to a simple step by step process to create a snowman and added snow by practicing cutting small shapes.

Fly Me To The Moon; Spaceships!

Students in first grade learned how to draw a simple spaceship by adding shapes together. They customized their spaceship by adding a flag and colors. We discussed spaceships, their uses, and where future spaceships might go.

How To Draw A Dragon

Happy New Years 2013, February 10th commemorates the year of the Snake, According to Chinese Zodiac Signs! When we finished our Dragons, we were still in the year of the Dragon. Everyone who has an imagination enjoys Dragons. The students loved this project and to finish, they wrote a few sentences about their Dragon.

"Fly me away to the clouds, let me close my eyes. Travel through waterfalls and a rainbow. Until we reach infinity, where our dreams are endless."

Holiday Arts Celebration Thursday, December 20th, 2012

Holiday Arts Celebration Fundraiser When- Thursday, December 20th. Where- The School Cafeteria Time- 5:30 to 6:30. Cost- $2 per/ person Bring- A Family Photo that NIGHT and a piece of recycled cardboard. Example: Empty cereal box, fruit bar box, etc. (For the back of the ornament). *Although we will have an array of different decorative elements for you ornament, feel free to bring any special supplies you may want to use; such as glitter, beads, ribbon, paint etc. Why??- Create a Custom Picture Ornament, Fun, Friends, Food (hotdog, chips, lemonade), Music, Seasonal Spirit, to raise money for a new kiln for the Art Department & A Holiday Festive Activity for All!

Cool and Warm Geometric Designs

4th Students used cool and warm colors to create graphic art designs. Students practiced using a ruler and measuring to create their graph and filled in their work with a shape. Students then, choose two warm colors and two cool colors to complete their work of art.

Fall Leaves Study

5th Grade studied leaves. Students were given real leaves to study and draw. Students had to add details, folds, and full color with oil pastels. Each leaf study came out unique and filled their page. Some students used “real life” colors, while others took a more expressive approach.
