Art Education can be challenging for any individual, but we strive to help everyone develop their talents through their abilities.
Here are some ideas for focusing on abilities.
- A picture can say a thousand words. Use examples instead of focusing on language.
- Everyone can paint! Tape the brush to something a person can hold! Their head or feet, for example works too!
- Collage is something everyone can do! Tear the paper and stick it to something else to get beautiful layering!
- Dance or act it out! Re-Create a painting by dressing up and acting it out! What would the people in the painting say any way? (PS this can work with books and history too!)
- Watch videos on the elements and principles of art! There are so many out there!
- Tracing doesn't have to be the point. Maybe a lesson on the silhouetted or inverted image! Space is a fun subject, after all. (Turn on closed captions* cc)
- Texture is the way togo! Build up layers of any materials! See with your hands!
