Students learned about Sea Turtles and their environments. Students had to design a sea turtle and include a hexagon in the turtle's shell. The students painted the turtles with an underwater scene to finish.

4 Seasons
I truly love this project. The students learn and discuss the four seasons. Then they have to illustrate a scene, one or four, depicting the four seasons using symbols. Excellent!
My "Wild Things" Monster
The students read the book Where the Wild Things Are. We discussed metaphor and the deeper meaning behind the story. The students had to come up with their own original inner monster and illustrate and paint it using the elements and principles of art to guide them. Such as pattern, repetition, color, shape, line, and texture. Lastly, the students wrote a little paragraph introducing and explaining their monster.
